Hackberry is a moderate to rapid grower that is very adaptable to extreme conditions such as drought and windy conditions. It can grow one to two feet each year. Grows small, dark red berries that persist through the winter. Excellent wildlife tree - many birds love the berries, and butterflies are attracted to its flowers. Hackberry has very interesting bark that changes as it matures. 2-3 foot tree.

***Favored to adapt well to climate change***
