1 yr-12". Chester is a thornless semi-erect variety of blackberry that was developed buy the USDA in 1985. Medium to large berries are deep black, round, and very sweet. This is a high quality and high yielding variety and will not soften or lose its color in hot weather. Reputedly an excellent variety for making blackberry wine. Late ripening.
