Tradescantia ohiensis, also known as spiderwort, is a perennial wildflower native to Michigan. Plant reaches 3 feet tall and flowers from May to July with a rich blue blossom. Deer resistant. It prefers full sun to partial shade, wet to dry soil and will grow in clay, loam or sand. Can reseed vigorously, especially in rich soils. Seedlings are easy to dig and can be put in pots. This plant pairs beautifully with orange Butterfly Milkweed and creamy Boneset in a flower garden!
