Campanula rotundifolia, also known as Harebell, is a perennial wildflower native to Michigan and the UP. Plant reaches 1-2 feet tall and flowers from June to September with a delicate purple bell. It prefers full sun but will tolerate part shade, medium to dry soil and will grow in loam or sand, including dunes and rocky soil. Good for rock gardens and areas with shallow soils, and often found on rock faces in the UP. Most of the foliage is low, so make sure it is not shaded out by large dense plants. Pairs well with Fleabane, Yarrow, and Black-eyed Susans.
