Juglans cinerea. Locally grown at Wyman Nursery in Manistique! Also known as the white walnut. Beautiful shade tree. Produces a nut for cooking and wildlife. Wood makes a great veneer and is highly valued by carvers and furniture makers. Easier to grow than black walnut in northern climates. Mature trees are 40-60 feet in height and 35-45 feet in width. Sold as a 6 year old bare root 2-4 feet in height.
